High-Precision Tooling & Mold Projects
Aero Mold
Multi-Cavity Aerospace Tool
Plastic Injection • EDM • Tooling
Engineered tight-tolerance multi-cavity injection mold for aerospace housing components. Full 3D CMM inspection and hardened steel tooling executed with sub-micron precision.
Phoenix Mold and Engineering partnered with a tier-one aerospace manufacturer requiring high-cavitation tooling capable of producing lightweight structural polymers. Utilizing our high-speed 5-axis CNC machining centers and sinker EDM systems, our engineering team developed a custom mold featuring optimized conformal cooling channels to reduce cycle times by 28%. Every cavity component underwent rigorous laser scanning and CMM inspection to ensure absolute fidelity to CAD specifications. The final mold delivered exceptional surface finishes and long-run durability, exceeding client expectations for high-volume defense and commercial flight components.

MedTech Tool
Cleanroom Device Mold
Product Design • UI/UX • Brand Guidelines
A tactile, almost analog-feeling product identity for a digital-first brand. Clean product renders, precise iconography, and a flexible layout system for web, print, and packaging.
Dune Devices wanted to bring back the joy of focused listening in an age of distraction. Their portable music player needed a brand identity that honored analog tactility while embracing digital precision. I built a system around geometric simplicity, restrained color (black, white, one accent), and ultra-clear iconography. The identity translated seamlessly across contexts: sleek product renders for their site, embossed packaging details for retail, and modular UI components for their app interface. I also developed a comprehensive brand book and asset library so their internal team could maintain visual consistency as they scaled. The result feels intentional, timeless, and refreshingly un-tech-bro.

AutoTech Core
Automotive Part Mold
Heavy Tooling • 5-Axis Milling • Repair
Heavy-duty aluminum die-cast mold and plastic manifold tooling built for high-performance automotive platforms. Engineered to withstand high heat and clamping pressures.commerce visuals.
Opal came to me with a clear ask: their skincare line was gentle, effective, and ingredient-focused, but their visual identity felt generic and overlooked. I redesigned everything from the ground up, starting with a new logotype that felt softer and more considered. The photography direction emphasized natural light and minimal styling—no aggressive shadows or clinical backdrops. I designed a label system that worked across multiple product formats (bottles, tubes, jars) while keeping a unified look. Typography was kept quiet and elegant, letting the imagery breathe. We also created a full suite of e-commerce assets, including lifestyle photography, product detail shots, and social templates. The rebrand helped Opal feel less like a commodity and more like a trusted ritual.

PROCESS
Streamlined Engineering & Production
Our structured 5-step tooling process guarantees accuracy, durability, and on-time delivery for every project.
STEP 1
DFM & Tool Design
We clarify your goals, audience, and what 'good' looks like for you. This gives us a shared direction before any design work begins.
STEP 2
Precision CNC & EDM
High-speed 5-axis milling, wire EDM, and heat treatment shape premium steel blocks into core and cavity
STEP 3
Fitting & Polish
Master moldmakers hand-fit core and cavity plates, apply SPI surface polishes, and install ejector and cooling
STEP 4
Sampling & CMM
We run initial sampling trials (T1 samples) and complete full coordinate measuring machine (CMM) dimensional verification reports.
STEP 5
Deliver and support
You receive crated tools, maintenance manuals, and spares. Need ongoing support? Our shop stays ready for revisions.
